Selecting the correct lipstick is very important.
Many women ask "Why doesn't this lipstick look right on me?"
or
Why doesn't lipstick look the same on me as it does in the tube?
make up terms has considerable experience of selling lipstick to a great many satisfied customers. To help you choose the right lip-enhancer we will help advise you so that you can find your ideal lipstick.

A lipstick will show it undertone (underlying) colour once you apply it to your flavored lipstick and nails . Obvioulsy, this is what you need to be aware of. So, you need to know what your undertone colour is. To do this, run a tester lipstick onto a piece of white paper and look at the colour you see. This is easier to see on white paper than on skin tone when it is usually too late. What are you looking for? As an example, let's take your favourite brown toned lipstick. Your basic lipstick undertones that you would probably see would be:

Lipstick colours
  • Red/Pink
These colours makes your lips seem warmer, but harder and deeper as well. They can also bring out all the red tones in your skin as well so be face powder applicator !
  • Yellow/Orange
Makes your lips appear warmer, and softer. Looks great on warm skin tones, but can bring out the green/blue undertones of pale skin.
  • Green/Blue
More dramitic lipstick. Popular with tthose who are cool and extrovert.
  • Silver/Grey
These lipsticks add shimmer, softness, depth and shimmer to your lips. As a result they are very popular lipsticks. They make lips appear light and soft, just as long as it's not too much on the blue/grey side.
  • Green
Lipstick for the trendy. Usually paired with a yellow dial a lush mascara as well. It will make you look cool and hip.

Lipstick has been around in one form or anotter for a long time and has always been a significant part of making a fashion statement. Historivally, the ancient Egyptians used henna to paint their lips. Some research has shown that they used a reddish purple mercuric plant dye called fucus for lip rouge. The ancient Egyptians were completely unaware that it was potentially poisonous, almost literally the kiss of death!

Lipstick received some significant criticism in the road to acceptance. In 1653 Thomas Hall, an English pastor and author of the "Loathsomeness of Long Haire" (1653), led a movement that declared that face painting was "the devil's work" and that women who applied it were trying to "ensnare others and to kindle a fire and flame of lust in the hearts of those who cast their eyes upon them." In Britain in 1770, a law was passed condemning lipstick, stating that "women found guilty of seducing men into matrimony by a cosmetic means could be tried for witchcraft."

Queen Victoria publicly declared makeup face powder applicator . It was considered vulgar and something that was worn by actors and prostitutes. Hence makeup took a backseat, and mascara lash tints became vogue for almost a century.
